Agrani Bank principal branch locked down as employee tested coronavirus positive

An employee of Agrani Bank's Principal Branch in the capital's Dilkusha has been tested positive with novel coronavirus. 

Later, the bank management locked down the branch for next 14 days, starting from Thursday. 

Meanwhile, all the operations of the branch have been transferred to Agrani Bank Amin Court Branch at Motijheel.

"The employee used to work outside the cash section. But we still sent 63 other employees to home quarantine," Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, managing director of Agrani Bank said.

"The employee last came to the office on Sunday. He started feeling sick and we sent him home afterwards," he added.

"The employee was tested positive by the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday," Shams-Ul Islam further said.
