Stimulus package: 'A' category factories to get loans

The Banking Regulation and Policy Department of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular in this regard on Thursday with immediate effect

A' type factories or foreign investors who have invested in economic zones, export processing zones and hi-tech parks are now eligible for getting loan under the related stimulus package of the government.

The Banking Regulation and Policy Department of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular in this regard on Thursday with immediate effect.

Earlier, only 'B' and 'C' category factories used to get the loan at the 4.5 percent interest rate. The government bears the rest of interest.

Md Serazul Islam, spokesperson of the BB, said that the circular was issued to include A-category investors.
