55 more teenagers detained for harassing people at Hatirjheel

Forty three pieces of yaba pills were recovered from three of the arrestees

Police detained 55 more teenagers on charges of harassing people who come to enjoy their leisure at Hatirjheel in the capital on Wednesday night.

Md Sohel Rana, AIG (Media) at the police headquarters, confirmed the matter to media.

They were detained during raids in different areas of Hatirjheel, he said.

Forty three pieces of yaba pills were recovered from three of the arrestees.

On Tuesday also, police nabbed some 16 young people for allegedly harassing visitors to Hatirjheel. As the accused were minors, police had handed them over to their parents.
