Case filed over death of patients in United Hospital fire

Ronal Micky Gomes, son-in-law of fire victim Vernon Anthony Paul, lodged the case with Gulshan police station

A relative of a patient, who died in a fire along with other four patients at the United Hospital, has filed a case against the hospital authorities on Wednesday night.

Ronal Micky Gomes, son-in-law of fire victim Vernon Anthony Paul, lodged the case with Gulshan police station against United Hospital's chairman, managing director, CEO, director, doctor and nurses of Covid-19 isolation unit and security officials, said, Deputy Commissioner Sudip Kumar Chakrabarty of Gulshan Zone. 

Earlier on May 27, five patients died in the fire that broke out at the Covid-19 isolation unit of United Hospital.
