Customs seizes 'cocaine' consignment at Dhaka airport

The seizure was made during a security check at the Export Cargo Village in the early hours

Customs officials say they have seized a consignment of cocaine-like susbstance at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

They said they had seized six cartons of the substance, but the exact amount has yet to be confirmed.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of customs Maruful Islam confirmed the matter to media on Wednesday, saying the seizure was made during a security check at the airport’s Export Cargo Village in the early hours.
