Newly appointed IGP Benazir Ahmed paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman immediately after being adorned with rank badge at Ganabhaban on Wednesday morning.
He paid homage to the architect of the independence by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in the capital this morning.
Senior police officials were present during the occasion.Earlier on this morning, Home Minister Assaduzzaman Khan Kamal adorned him with the IGP rank badge at Gana Bhaban in Dhaka with the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
