Parliamentary committee makes queries about railway projects

The committee has expressed dissatisfaction over anomalies in the time and cost of various projects relating to railway development

A Parliamentary Standing Committee has sought explanation from the ministry concerned for not including ‘High Cube Container’ shipment facility in the design of underpasses of Padma Bridge rail-link spreading from Dhaka to Mongla.

Besides, the committee has expressed dissatisfaction over anomalies in the time and cost of various projects relating to railway development.

The committee made the queries at a meeting on Wednesday.
