Former State Minister for Religious Affairs and the President of a section of Jamiat-e-Islam Mufti Wakkas died on early Wednesday. He was 73.

Joint general secretary of Jamiat-e-Islam Maulana Abdul Malek Chowdhury confirming the matter said he will be laid to eternal rest at Monirampur of Jashore after Magrib prayer.
