Newly elected female councillor of Magura municipality Chobetara Begum died of heart attack at a hospital in the capital on Tuesday.

Chhobetara, who was a vice-president of district women's Awami League, breathed her last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka while undergoing treatment.

Chhobetara Begum was elected four times as a reserved councillor in wards no 1,2,3 of Magura municipality. She won in the last election which was held on January 16.
