The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday interrogated Dr Shahan Ara Begum, principal of Ideal School and College in Motijheel on charges of irregularities and corruption.
The anti-graft body’s assistant director Ataur Rahman Sarker, also inquiry officer, interrogated her from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the commission’s Segunbagicha headquarters in the capital, said ACC spokesperson M Arif Sadiq.
After the interrogation, Dr Shahana Ara told journalists that the graft allegations brought against her are false and fabricated and it is only for harassing her.
Throwing challenges to ACC, the principal also said the commission will not be able to prove any irregularities against her.
On November 9, ACC summoned Dr Shahan Ara asking her to appear before an ACC interrogation team on November 15 to explain the allegations against her on acquiring illegal assets by admission trade and charging extra money for form fill-up.
