Abdullah Al Mamun to succeed Benazir as IGP

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General (DG) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun has been appointed next Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The RAB DG Al Mamun will succeed Dr Benazir Ahmed for the latter going on retirement on September 30.
Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette in this regard.
Earlier, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was chief of the Criminal Investigation Department.
