The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on November 26.
The Inter-Education Board has set the date for publishing results upon the approval of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-committee Chairman Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed the matter to media on Saturday.
According to the usual practice, the results will officially be handed over to the prime minister in the morning on November 26. Later students from all over the country will get the results simultaneously.
Sources at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka said the authorities earlier sought the prime minister’s approval to publish results between November 26 and 28.
The HSC exams for eight of the general education boards started on August 17. Due to floods, the exams for Chattogram education board, madrasah and technical boards began on August 27.
As per the rule, the results are published within 60 days after the completion of examinations.
More than 13 lakh students appeared in this year’s HSC examinations under 11 education boards.
