COAST Foundation distributed snacks to students of the anti-discrimination movement who are responsible for traffic on the road.
COAST Assistant Director and Regional Team Leader Jahangir Alam handed over snacks to the students who performed their duties from Kolatali Point to Ghungachtala on Sunday afternoon.
CNN Bangla Editor and Publisher Touhid Belal and Cox's Bazar News (CBN) News Editor Imam Khair, among others, were present on the occasion.
Regarding the program, Jahangir Alam said that the students have been working to control traffic every day since August 6. Along with the general students, various organizations are also seen working to control traffic. Members of BNCC and Rover Scouts are working with the students to control traffic on the road. Besides, members of the fire service, Ansar and students are standing with the students.
After a while, an organization or person comes and provides food for the students. Leftover food has been stored in the traffic box at the intersection. Students are also giving food to any street children or beggars if they want. COAST Foundation will always stand by the students on duty.
He also said that school and college students are now on the streets. Everyone is busy building the country in their own way. Their unprecedented busyness may one day end. School, college, university regular classes will start very soon. Traffic police will also return to the road. But it is everyone's expectation that the example they set to protect the law will be maintained.
