On the occasion of the World Peace Day declared by the United Nations, a discussion meeting on "Civil society's actions to establish peace and social harmony in the country", awarding meritorious persons and poetry recitation program was held at the Bangladesh Children Welfare Parishad Auditorium.

The chief guest was M.Nazimuddin Al Azad.
Former Minister of Religion and Ministry of Water Resources.

The main discussant was the famous writer and former additional secretary, brave freedom fighter Mohammad Moinuddin Kajal.

Dr. Md. Moshiur Rahman, one of Bangladesh's otolaryngologist, director of Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh Naumuslim Muhammad Raj, Professor of Asian University and prominent poet, literary writer and researcher were present as special guests.

Emdadul Haque Khan, Md. Saidul Haque, prominent human rights activist and daily Jugantar newspaper circulation manager, Md. Muosharraf Hossain Raju, prominent journalist and human rights activist, were present as event coordinators.

Social Justice Foundation Chairman Lion Barrister Robiul Hossain Robi presided over the ceremony.

The chief guest said in his speech that every sector of Bangladesh has been destroyed by the previous Awami League government.There was no freedom of media and newspapers in this country. There was no freedom of speech for intellectuals, civil society, teachers, scholars, politicians and students.

We pay tribute to the martyrs of the student uprising and we must work to fulfill their dreams. Especially in all areas of administration, a golden Bangladesh should be built where there will be no discrimination, he added.

Special guest Bashundhara Ad Deen Medical College and Hospital, one of Bangladesh's otorhinolaryngologist professor Dr. Md. Moshiur Rahman said, after the popular uprising of the students, we all should be united in patriotism to build a corruption-free golden Bangladesh against discrimination for the liberation of the people of the oppressed and oppressed country. Naumuslim Muhammad Raj, one of Bangladesh's most compassionate social workers and human rights activists, said in his speech that our organization Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh has been with the anti-discrimination student crowd since the beginning.

We have provided financial support to the families of the victims and the treatment of the injured and this support will continue inshallah. Not only that, in humanitarian service we are working with all kinds of cooperation with our vast workforce all over Bangladesh including the remote areas of the country in every disaster situation of Bangladesh.

In recognition of Dr. Md. Moshiur Rahman, one of Bangladesh's otolaryngologists for his special contribution in medical and social services.

"International Peace Award 2024" was presented by the chief guest of the program, former Cabinet Minister ( Ministry of Religion and Water Resources) M. Nazim Uddin Al Azad.
