BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the list of BNP candidates for 300 seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections is in the final stage.
He said, "BNP will soon finalize the candidates for 300 seats. Everyone should forget their own rivalries and accept whoever the party nominates in the next election."
He made these remarks while joining a program virtually from London at the Lakeshore Hotel in the capital on Sunday night.
Addressing the leaders and activists, the BNP acting chairman said, "In each parliamentary constituency, multiple BNP candidates are campaigning in their respective areas to gain the support of the people. But ultimately, all of you are followers of Shaheed Zia, soldiers of Khaleda Zia, BNP workers, and supporters of the sheaf of rice. Remember, if the sheaf of rice wins, you have won or are winning or will win. The country and democracy will win."
He said, "Remember that there is a hidden tyranny around you with latent desires. Therefore, it would not be right to take your rivalry, disputes, and conflicts among yourselves to such a level that the opponent can take advantage of the conflict between you."
The acting chairman of BNP said, "My appeal to the leaders and activists is that the proclaimer of independence is disrespected, the contribution of the Mother of Democracy to the country and the people is questioned, please do not behave in such a way. Millions of BNP supporters across the country are embarrassed, please do not behave in such a way."
Calling on the people to stand with them, he said, "I want to chant the slogan in front of you - 'If you vote, we will build the country together with the grain of rice.'"
Regarding the upcoming national elections, the acting chairman of BNP said, "The question has arisen in the public mind whether the elections will be held on time or not. We must be careful whether the current situation creates a situation like unconditional surrender to any evil force. Conflict, propaganda and evil tactics are going on in the country to prevent BNP's victory in the upcoming elections."
Tarique Rahman said, "If you don't understand the difference between strategy and malpractice, a situation like unconditional surrender to evil forces may arise."
