ATM Azharul Islam, Nayeb-e-Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Member of Parliament, issued a stern warning to the government during an 11-party alliance rally on Saturday, April 18, 2026. He criticized the administration for failing to fulfill its pre-election promise of implementing the referendum results and failing to manage the ongoing fuel crisis and rising commodity prices. Highlighting the fall of the previous regime despite its majority, Azharul Islam urged the current government to understand the public's pulse before mass movements escalate further. Leaders from various parties, including the LDP, AB Party, and Khelafat Majlish, joined the rally in Bijoynagar, which was followed by a mass procession through the capital's streets.
