Bangladesh captain Litton Das stated on Sunday, April 26, 2026, that the national team has "moved on" from the disappointment of missing out on the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Speaking ahead of the first T20 match against New Zealand, Litton emphasized that every international match is a fresh opportunity and that the players are entering the field with a winning mindset.
Additionally, it was confirmed that Litton’s captaincy has been extended until the 2028 T20 World Cup. While expressing gratitude for the board's confidence in his leadership, Litton noted that the team's long-term preparation remains consistent and that they aim to rebuild strongly through the upcoming series against the Kiwis.
