Jamaat Amir never thinks properly: Mirza Fakhrul
Local Government Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday, April 25, 2026, strongly rejected the allegations of "election engineering" made by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
Speaking at the party's central office in Nayapaltan, Fakhrul asserted that the BNP formed the government after winning 213 seats in a transparent and internationally acclaimed election.
He accused Jamaat of trying to derail the transition to democracy and creating confusion among the public.
Highlighting that the people have already rejected Jamaat's ideology due to its controversial past, Fakhrul urged his party members to remain united and prepare to politically confront those attempting to lead the country back into an autocratic system.
