151-member full-fledged Central Executive Committee unveiledMunna made Jubo Dal president, Nayan gen secy


The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has approved a 151-member full-fledged Central Executive Committee of its youth wing, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, with Abdul Monayem Munna named President and Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayon appointed General Secretary.

The full committee includes 29 vice-presidents, 28 joint general secretaries and 23 assistant general secretaries.

The committee was approved on Thursday (4 June), according to a statement issued by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Several members based overseas, including representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, have also been included in the committee.

Under the new leadership structure, Rezaul Kabir Paul has been made Senior Vice-President, while a number of vice-presidents, joint general secretaries and assistant general secretaries have also been appointed.

Vice presidents of the committee are Ziaur Rahman Zia, Kamal Anwar Ahmad, Mahfuzur Rahman Mahfuz, Jahangir Alam Dulal, Shah Alam Chowdhury, Saidur Rahman, Sabbir Ahmed Dipu, Abdul Jabbar Khan, Khandaker Enamul Haque Enam, Sharif Uddin Jewel, Yasin Ferdous Murad, Rafique Ahmed Dollar, Sayed Iqbal Mahmud Titu, Mohammad Firoz Abdullah, Mahmudus Salehin, Atikur Rahman Atik, Zakir Hossain Ujjal, HM Taslim Uddin, Nazmul Alam Nazu, Md Anwarul Haque, Abu Sayeed Ahmed (USA), Rahim Uddin (UK), Ferdous Ahmed Munna, Tarikul Islam Titu, Lohani Mohammad Tajul Islam, Manjurul Azim Suman, Azizur Rahman Akand, and Nurul Islam Sohel (officer-in‑charge).

Joint general secretaries are Billal Hossain Tarek, Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Monirul Islam Sohag, Abu Atik Al Hasan Mintu, Shah Nasir Uddin Ruman, Kofil Uddin Bhuiyan, Moinuddin Rubel, Azharul Islam Milon, Ezmal Hossain Pilot, Ikhtiar Rahman Kabir, Robiul Islam Nayan, Sazzadul Miraj, Miah Mohammad Russel, Abdul Karim Sarkar, Shafiqul Islam Shafik, Golam Mostafa, Abul Monsur Khan Dipak, Khandaker Al Ashraf Mamun, Ayub Khan, Shamsuzzoha Suman, Tarek Uz Zaman Tarek, Shoaib Khandaker, Ashraful Rahman Babu, Asaduzzaman Asad, Md Abdul Wahab, Harun‑or‑Rashid Hero (Saudi Arabia), M Tamal Ahmed, Sazedul Islam, and Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan (officer-in‑charge).

The committee includes office-bearers responsible for organisation, publicity, research, law, international affairs, health, information technology, sports, environment and other key sectors.

Md Kamruzzaman Jewel has been given the responsibility of organising secretary, and Al Mehdi Talukder has been appointed publicity secretary.

Among other key appointments, Rokonuzzaman Rokon has been made treasurer, Ashraf Jalal Khan Monon literature and publication secretary, Aminur Rahman Amin information and research secretary, and Khairuzzaman Lincoln international affairs secretary with the status of vice-president.

In addition, AR Mamun Khan and Mujahidul Islam Murad have been appointed as international affairs secretaries with the status of joint general secretary.

The committee also includes five law affairs secretaries and two health affairs secretaries.

The formation of the full committee is expected to strengthen the organisational capacity of Jubo Dal and enhance its role in implementing the BNP’s political programmes and activities across the country.

The new committee takes effect immediately following its approval by the party leadership.
