PM for collective efforts to build prosperous, discrimination-free Bangladesh

The Prime Minister made the remarks at a meeting with representatives of ethnic minority communities at the Bangladesh Secretariat

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday stressed the need for collective efforts to build a happy, prosperous and discrimination-free Bangladesh, urging everyone to come forward from their respective positions and work together towards this goal.

"The current struggle is a significant one. If we want to thrive in the present era and build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh for the future, we must remain united. We must work together, and everyone has to come forward from their respective positions," he said.

The Prime Minister made the remarks at a meeting with representatives of ethnic minority communities at the Public Administration conference room at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the afternoon, Deputy Press Secretary Sujon Mahmud said.

Sujon said the community leaders presented their concerns and various challenges to the Prime Minister, who listened to them attentively.

Describing ethnic minority communities as an inseparable part of the country, Tarique Rahman said his government is committed to building a Bangladesh free from discrimination against any race or community.

He said he wanted to move forward by taking everyone on board to build the Bangladesh the people aspire to.
