RAB arrests 4 fraudsters over fake job scam

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four active members of a fraud ring for conning job aspirants in the name of providing jobs in fake TV channels as reporters by publishing lucrative advertisements online.

The arrestees were identified as Didarul Islam, 35, Wasim Mandal, 30, Mahmuda Jesmin Rita, 20 and Asma Akter Ritu, 32.

On secrete information, a team of RAB-4 conducted a drive at the office of online based TV channel 'News TV Bangla' at Hemayetpur Mollah Super Market in Savar and arrested them, on the outskirts of Dhaka on Saturday night.

ASP Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury, assistant director of RAB-4, confirmed the matter to media this noon.
