Employees involved in snatching Tk 17 lakh by detonating bomb arrested

Police on Monday arrested two more accused in connection with a case filed over snatching by detonation of bomb in broad daylight and recovered Tk 6 lakh from them.

The arrestees are Yasin Arafat Razu, 28, son of Lion Hossain hailing from Mollapara Amtola in the town a and Sohel Sheikh, 24 son of Tobibor Sheikh in Dharmatala area in Jashore town.

Earlier in the morning today, police arrested Arafat and recovered Tk one lakh in a drive at Adabor Santirbil area in the capital.

Till now, seven were arrested and Tk 9 lakh was recovered in connection with the incident.

The incident of snatching took place in front of United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL) in Jashore town on September 29 and miscreants snatched Tk 17 lakh by detonating bomb.
