Ex-DUCSU VP Nur booked for derogatory comment on govt

Former DUCSU Vice President Nurul Haque Nur has been sued for making derogatory statements on the government and several public institutions going live on Facebook.

Brahmanbaria District Chhatra League President Rabiul Hossain Rubel filed the case with Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Sunday morning.

On December 16, Nur appeared on Facebook live trying to instigate people by "derogatory comments" on the government and public institutions.

He regarded the Election Commission as useless commission.

Uttering name of the complainant, Nur made indecent comment during the live show.

Earlier, Nur along with some associates was booked in a rape case filed by a Dhaka University student.
