‘ACC received 4.0m allegations in two years’

FT ONLINE

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud on Sunday said the commission received around 4.0 million calls of allegations in its hotline service “106” and through other means in the past two years.

His remarks came at a discussion held at an auditorium at Moulvibazar District office. The Moulvibazar District Administration organised the function.

Terming the allegations as mammoth, he said the huge number shows the sign of the negligence of duty or incapacity of the government officials to provide services.

Such negligence of duty will not be tolerated as the ACC has taken zero tolerance policy to this end, warned the chairman.
