Remittance flow increases ahead of Eid-ul-Azha


The flow of remittance has increased in June, ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, in Bangladesh.  

Remittance worth 57 crore 56 lakh 80 thousand US dollar came to the country in the first nine days of June. The amount in Bangladeshi currency stands at Tk 6 thousand 245 crore (Tk 108.50 per dollar).      

The latest report of Bangladesh Bank revealed this information.

As per the report, some Tk 6 crore 40 lakh or Tk 694 crore is being added every day as remittance in this month.

If this trend continues, at the end of the month the amount will be nearly two billion or over 190 crore US dollar.  

Before that, in the entire period of last May, some 169 crore 16 lakh 30 thousand US dollar  came to Bangladesh. As per that account, the remittance flow is good as of now of this month.
