COVID-19 pandemicBD reports 34 more deaths, 2766 new cases


Bangladesh confirmed 34 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours until Friday 8am.

With this, the death toll now stands at 3,591 and the death rate stands at 1.32 percent, according to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued on Friday.

In the last 24 hours, 2,766 people tested positive for Covid-19 and the infection rate stood at 21.51 percent.

With the new cases, the country now has 271,881 Covid-19 positive cases and infection rate is 20.46, according to the DGHS.

Health authorities reported that another 1,752 people have recovered from the disease in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 156,623.

In the last 24 hours, 85 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 12,856 samples.

The deadly virus has killed 757,776 people globally and 21,095,488 more people fighting the infection till date.
