Shop owners in Gausia, New Market stage protest against lockdown

Shop owners and employees of Gausia market in the capital staged demonstrations and blocked Mirpur Road demanding to continue their businesses following health guidelines.

Thousands of shop owners and employees of Gausia Market, New Market, Noor Mansion and Chandni Chak Market took streets around 10.30 am on Monday violating the ongoing lockdown.

Protestors also shouted slogans to remove restrictions on public transport and shops, witnesses said.
