Bangladeshi expatriate Roiful wins Tk 105 crore lottery in UAE

Bangladeshi expatriate Roiful, recently, won Tk 105 crore (35 milion Dirhams) in the first ‘Big Ticket’ raffle draw in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Organised in Abu Dhabi, Muhammad Roiful Islam, hailing from Noakhali, won the lottery at the 247 series of the raffle draw. Roiful bought the lottery of which number is 043678 on December 10, 2022.

However, he will have to share the money with 17 more people for having three shares.

Roiful, son of Haji Aslam Miah of Charking Union under Hatiya upazila of the district, got married Nusrat Jahan Risa two years ago in the same area.

To pursue livelihood, Roiful settled in Dubai in 2011 where he got a job as a driver in a company.

About winning lottery, his wife Israt said, “We are very happy to know winning of lottery. My husband will come in Bangladesh on January 10. His air ticket has been confirmed. I pray to Almighty Allah so that he can come to Bangladesh safely.

Roiful had bought lottery since last nine years. He bought the last ticket through online. Seventeen people including Roiful bought the ticket by 500 Dirhams.
