Fire breaks out at Karail slum

A fire broke out at Karail slum in Dhaka's Mohakhali area on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident around 4:05pm, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).

Three firefighting units have already reached the spot and are working to extinguish the blaze, Lima Khanam, duty officer of the FSCD control room, said, adding that five more units are on the way.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
