UN human rights chief Volker Türk meets PM

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk has met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The meeting was held at Hotel Grand Hyatt in New York on Friday afternoon (local time), said Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque.

The meeting covered issues of mutual interest, with both sides exchanging views on matters rel&ated to human rights and other areas of common concern, he added.
