CA returns home from Malaysia

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus returned home at 9:10 pm on Wednesday after a three-day state visit to Malaysia.

CA Yunus left Kuala Lumpur for Dhaka at around 7.30 pm local time after a landmark official visit to the Southeast Asian nation.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had called the chief adviser by mobile phone as Professor Yunus and the Bangladesh delegation arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

During the call, Anwar had exchanged pleasantries with his Bangladeshi counterpart, saying that he would now discuss the bilateral issues they discussed in the delegation level meeting in the Malaysian cabinet.

The chief adviser thanked his longtime friend, Prime Miniser Anwar, for hosting him during the landmark visit.

Malaysian Home Minister Saifuddin Ismail was at the airport to say a hearty good bye to the chief adviser.

The three-day tour began on 11 August, during which Bangladesh and Malaysia signed five MoUs and exhanged three notes.

Advisers Dr Asif Nazrul, Fouzul Kabir Khan and Md Touhid Hossain, National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, Special Envoy of Chief Adviser Lutfey Siddiqi and BIDA Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun were part of the Bangladesh delegation.
