Arrived in Dhaka with a special messageTarique Rahman's goal is 'Bangladesh first': Dr. Faiz

Dr. Mohammad Faiz Uddin MBE, a potential BNP candidate for the Sylhet-3 constituency in the upcoming national parliamentary elections, has arrived in Bangladesh from the United Kingdom for three weeks.

Yesterday, October 29, Emirates Airlines flight EK-586 arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5 pm from London via Dubai.

Dr. Fayez was welcomed at the airport by 'The Finance Today's' Executive Editor and Columnist Shaheen Abdul Bari. Senior journalist Golam Mustafa Kajal, 'The Finance Today's' Special Correspondent Shamiur Rahman and some political leaders of BNP's Sylhet region were present at the airport.

It is learnt that he has come to the country to conduct party and election activities in Sylhet-3 constituency and with a special message from BNP Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman to the leaders and activists. Voters of Sylhet-3 constituency and people from all walks of life warmly congratulated him on his arrival. He sought prayers from the countrymen.

In a cordial conversation with journalists present at the airport, Dr. Faiz Uddin MBE said, "BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will return home very soon. He is quite respectful to BNP leaders and activists at all levels. Tarique Rahman's main goal is 'Bangladesh first'. Therefore, there is no alternative to unity in building the country and for the greater good."

He said, "Tarique Rahman is practically the supreme leader of BNP at this moment. Even though he is in exile, BNP is being run under his sole leadership. The work he is doing for the party is unbelievable."

Although the entire BNP is Tarique Rahman's team, he has some wings of his own. These wings carry out the responsibilities directed and assigned by Tarique Rahman at different levels of the party. Those involved in this work are extremely loyal, trustworthy and dedicated to Tarique Rahman.

In light of recent events, a special investigation conducted by some media outlets has revealed that some people involved in this wing are trying to achieve various objectives to attract the attention of the chairman. Many people feel that they talk to Tarique Rahman several times a day.

Basically, Tarique Rahman wants to bring about qualitative changes in the politics of the future in Bangladesh. Those who are helping him honestly by providing him with accurate information and with an unbiased view will be the closest people to Tarique Rahman.

The concerted efforts of those who have questioned the image of Tarique Rahman, the leader of nationalist politics, through false propaganda in the past will not succeed again. Tarique Rahman has requested all concerned to refrain from unethical attempts to achieve their personal interests by saying "brother's wishes" in the coming days.

It is worth noting that Tarique Rahman has received messages from various quarters that some in the party are selling his name. That is why he recently made it clear at an event, "Don't give orders using my name." He confirmed this message to the leaders and activists after observing various levels of BNP.

Dr. Faiz Uddin MBE, a prominent columnist, human rights organizer, international researcher and political analyst, and Chairman of New Hope Global based in Birmingham, UK, has been working selflessly on behalf of BNP in the international arena for a long time.

He wrote hundreds of letters to the UN Secretary-General, the British Prime Minister, the American President, and international human rights organizations against the suppression of dissent, human rights violations, disappearances, murders, and torture in Bangladesh during the rule of the fallen dictator.

While BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was in jail, Dr. Faiz wrote hundreds of letters to the world court informing them about the false case filed against the leader. Which was not possible for anyone else.

Due to the extremely adverse situation during the difficult times of BNP, Dr. Faiz could not return to his motherland for the past 17 years due to his duty in this valuable work. Above all, he spent sleepless nights working in the interests of the party. He gave importance to the party more than his family. He showed respect to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He paid tribute to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Dr. Faiz Uddin MBE's elder brother, Professor Dr. Md. Alauddin, was a very popular person among the people of Sylhet. Dr. Faiz cherished the ideals of his elder brother.

Dr. Mohammad Faiz Uddin MBE has become a symbol of hope for the people of Sylhet-3 constituency. Always smiling, humble and cooperative, Dr. Faiz has deeply taken a place in the hearts of the people of Sylhet due to his honesty, educational qualifications, social leadership and humanitarian service.
