Coast Foundation pays tribute to the martyrs of Ekushey

Today is February 21, 2026, Language Martyr's Day. The Coast Foundation celebrated the day at all its centers, regional and upazila offices, and two community radio stations.

Laying special emphasis on highlighting the significance of this day, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Executive Director of Coast Foundation, said, "We can celebrate the strength of 1952 and inspire everyone to build an equal and exploitation-free society by awakening the spirit of nationalism and secularism. This is an attempt to give new direction and enthusiasm to our workers."

He also said that our Cox's Bazar and Char Fashion Radio staff sang patriotic songs at the local Shaheed Minar the previous day.

"We are remembering our great liberation war and our struggle against the evil forces of fundamentalism. This year is of special importance to us because our women colleagues feel inspired to speak out for their equal rights, free from all so-called religious prejudices," she said.

He appealed to everyone, saying, "Please do not see us as just education, disaster management or microfinance workers; we are the beacons of this society, whose goal is to spread the light of modern culture and secularism and build a society free from all forms of religious fanaticism and exploitation."
