Osman Hadi murder: CID submits investigation report on April 19

On Thursday (April 2), a Dhaka court set April 19 as the new deadline for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to submit its further investigation report regarding the murder of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha.

Hadi was shot in Paltan on December 12 last year and tragically succumbed to his injuries in Singapore on December 18. Although the Detective Branch (DB) previously submitted a charge sheet against 17 individuals on January 6, the plaintiff filed a 'no-confidence' (Naraji) petition, leading the court to transfer the case to the CID for a more comprehensive probe.

Currently, 11 accused individuals, including the parents and wife of the prime suspect Faisal Karim Masud, are in custody, while six others, including former Ward Councilor Taijul Islam Chowdhury Bappi, remain fugitives.
