People have regained freedom of speech: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, stated that a democratic system has been restored in the country. He emphasized that people have regained their freedom of speech, and no one will have to face enforced disappearance for expressing their opinions anymore. Currently, a secure environment has been established in the country where one can speak without fear.

He made these remarks during a press conference held at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, on Sunday afternoon (March 22).

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that some individuals do not want the democratic system to continue in the country. Consequently, they are spreading irrelevant statements and lies against the democratically elected BNP government. He urged everyone to work together to uphold democracy.

During the event, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced a two-day program by the BNP to observe Great Independence and National Day.

The programs are as follows:

  1. Flag Hoisting: On Thursday, March 26, at 6:00 AM, the national and party flags will be hoisted at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan and all party offices across the country.
