BCCCI signs MoU to boost Bangladesh–China cooperation in skills development


The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beijing Ark Galaxy Technology Co., Ltd. and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).

The MoU will enhance bilateral cooperation in vocational education, skills development and human resource capacity building between Bangladesh and China.

The MoU was signed on Saturday, at the BCCCI office in Gulshan, Dhaka, with the aim of establishing a long-term and sustainable collaborative framework between vocational institutions in Bangladesh and leading technical and vocational institutions in China.

Under the agreement, the parties will jointly work on technical training programmes, institutional exchanges, technology sharing and capacity development initiatives.

The collaboration is expected to contribute significantly to workforce modernisation and industrial growth in both countries by aligning skills training with emerging industry demands.

The signing ceremony was attended by BCCCI President Mohd Khorshed Alam, General Manager of Beijing Ark Galaxy Technology Co., Ltd. Yue Xueshan, and Deputy General Manager of CCECC Bangladesh Ltd. Lu Yong.

From BCCCI, Secretary General Jamilur Rahman, Advisor to the President Md Faizul Alam, Vice Presidents Khandaker Atiqur Rahman and Masud Ali Khan, Director Asif Haque Rupo, Executive Director Md Abu Taher, and Dr Md Sadi, Principal of Yidai Yilu Chinese Institute, were also present.

Officials said the presence of senior representatives from all participating organisations underscored the growing momentum in Bangladesh–China cooperation in education, industry and workforce development.

They noted that the MoU reflects a shared commitment to deepening bilateral relations and promoting sustainable economic growth through the development of a skilled and competitive workforce.

The agreement is being viewed as an important milestone in strengthening institutional linkages and fostering long-term partnerships to support inclusive development and industrial competitiveness.
