Discussion held to enhance bilateral trade between Bangladesh, Philippines


 A discussion was held in Manila, capital of the Philippines, to promote bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Philippines.

Bangladesh Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI) president Akber Hakim and Vice President Shams Mahmud, accompanied by his excellency, Vincente Vivencio T. Bandillo, Ambassador of Philippines to Bangladesh, recently paid a visit to Manila to promote  greater economic engagement between the two countries.

Akber Hakim and Shams Mahmud are also the Directors of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

During the visit they called on the secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Ramon M. Lopez, Amb. Lourdes O. Yparraguirre, under-secretary for International Economic Relations, DFA and the President of Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Ms. MA. Alegria S. Limjoco.

They also met with DTI Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and DTI- Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC) in order to discuss the management of an Outbound Business Matching Mission (OBMM) to Dhaka in September 2019.
