Govt to halt administering first dose of covid vaccine from April 26

The health authorities have decided to stop administering the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZenca shots from April 26.

The decision was taken amid uncertainty over the next shipment of the Covid-19 vaccine from India.

The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) of the health department issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.

As of April 23, nearly 5.78 million people have received the first dose of the vaccine, according to official figures.
