DMCH surgeons’ cheering dance goes viral on social media

When the nation is grappling with the second wave of coronavirus, three surgeons of Dhaka Medical College Hospital have taken a chance to rejuvenate the fellow physicians who have been treating the Covid patients risking their own lives.

They staged a dance at a corridor of the DMCH building on Monday and uploaded a video clip of the performance on Facebook.

Now the video clip is making rounds on social media platforms with overwhelming appreciations.

Dr Shashwata Chandan, an intern physician of the DMCH who performed in the show, said their intention was nothing but cheering up the exhausted fellow physicians.

"We all know that the coronavirus devastates people mentally. Through this video, we intended to cheer up and inspire the doctors who have been working relentlessly to ensure proper treatment to the Covid patients," he said, urging all to take the issue positively.

Apart from him, two other physicians - Dr Kripa Biswas and Dr Anika Hossain Khan – were also seen performing in the video.
