Class eight students to be promoted sans examinations

Students of class eight will get promotion to next class automatically as Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations of this year will not be held due to coronavirus pandemic.

The students will be promoted as per the assessment of their respective academic institutions, said a circular from the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Wednesday.

Media report disclosed that the education board will provide further instruction in this regard soon.

Earlier on August 27, the education ministry declared that JSC and JDC examinations of this year will not be held.
