BR DG determined to bring back modernity and discipline
Bangladesh Railway's Director General Engineer Md. Afzal Hossain is a highly skilled and hardworking officer. He is taking the railway forward by destroying all the plots of the friends of the fallen government. He is trying his best to bring modernity and discipline back to the railway. Bangladesh Railway is moving forward with the skill and foresight of this officer. To stop the progress of his honest and dedicated work, the friends of the fallen government, a vested interest group, who are hiding in the railway, are making a deliberate attempt to destroy the railway.
Due to the shortage of parts required for locomotive repairs, many engines are lying idle and these Awami League cronies are directly responsible. To get rid of this deadlock, Director General Afzal Hossain is personally supervising each sector of the railway. He is encouraging the employees to work. But opportunists are conspiring against this skilled and hardworking officer to protect their interests and pushing the railway towards destruction. The DG of Railways is determined to save the railway by stopping the conspiracies of the self-interested and conspirators.

Notable achievements of Bangladesh Railway
Rehabilitation and modernization of old railway lines. Initiatives have been taken to increase the capacity of the railways by modernizing old railway lines, improving their quality, developing the signaling system, and adding new engines and bogies.
Improving the quality of passenger service
Various steps have been taken to improve the quality of passenger services. These include 100% online ticketing, improved passenger restrooms, and ensuring a clean environment.
Various steps have been taken to strengthen railway security. These include modernizing the RPF (Railway Protection Force) and ensuring security through the use of new technology.
New train addition
Passenger transport capacity has been increased by adding new trains. For example, the number of intercity trains has been increased and some new routes have been opened.
Notable achievements of the Railways during the interim government
1. After completing the work of the Jamuna Rail Bridge, double lines have been introduced on the bridge. This has increased the speed of trains on the bridge and saved time. Moreover, any speed control, load control, etc. have been withdrawn.
2. 86 km of railway line has been inaugurated in the Bhanga Jessore section of the 2nd phase of the Padma Bridge Rail Link Project. From December 24, 2024, the Khulna - Dhaka Jehanabad Express and the Ruposhi Bangla train between Dhaka and Benopole will be inaugurated.
3. New commuter trains have been launched on Dhaka-Joydevpur, Dhaka-Narsingdi and Dhaka-Narayanganj routes. In addition, Ruposhi Bangla trains have been launched between Jehanabad and Dhaka-Benapole on the newly constructed railway line between Khulna and Dhaka via the Padma Bridge.
4. As a result of sound railway management, there were no train schedule disruptions or train derailments during the past two Eids.
5. A loan agreement has been signed with JICA for the construction of double lines in the Joydevpur-Iswardi section. As a result, the construction of double lines in this section will begin soon.
6. Tenders have been invited for the construction of a dual gauge railway line from Chittagong to Dohazari with the assistance of ADB for the conversion of the meter gauge line to dual gauge in the Chittagong-Dohazari section. The work will start once the tender is approved.
7. The foundation stone for the construction of a rail cum road bridge upstream of the existing old rail bridge in the Kalurghat area has been laid with EDCF Korean funding.
8. Ticket checking and security measures have been strengthened at all stations to prevent black marketing of tickets and bring discipline. A special monitoring cell is being formed to control online black marketing of tickets.
9. Bangladesh Railway's operating ratio in the last fiscal year 2023-24 was 2.5. Currently, the operating ratio in the fiscal year 2024-25 is 2.09. This has reduced expenses comparatively, meaning the difference between expenses and income has decreased.
Pro-Awami League cronies engaged in deep conspiracy against DG
It has been alleged that a deep conspiracy is going on to destroy Bangladesh Railways fueled by India. The conspiracy of former fascist Prime Minister Hasina and India has been shattered by the current DG Engineer of Railways, Md. Afzal Hossain. In view of this, a pro-Awami group is engaged in propaganda against him.
It has been learned that Bangladesh Railway is currently going through an unusual deadlock. Concerns have arisen in the concerned quarters that some vested interests in India are making a deliberate attempt to destroy the railway. Many engines are currently lying idle due to the shortage of parts required for locomotive repairs. Questions have been raised about the role of an Additional Director General of Railways behind this deadlock.
It is alleged that he is working to protect the interests of an opportunistic group by weakening the railway's stores and mechanical departments. Although the workshops send requisitions to the stores department for the necessary parts, they are stuck at the approval stage due to various questions and excuses. When these files are sent to him in Dhaka for approval, he sends them back to the CCS in the name of the so-called 'quarry'. As a result, the supply of goods is being delayed, maintenance is being stopped and passenger services are being disrupted.
On July 30, 2025, a fabricated and baseless report was spread on a Facebook page called 'Rail News', in which corruption allegations were made against the Ministry of Railways and DG of Railways Md. Afzal Hossain. However, he is a decent, clean-image officer. This report is not only defamatory, but has been made to make a national institution like Railways controversial. Initiatives are being made to ensure passenger services nationwide with the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Railways. Such baseless propaganda is nothing but a condemnable attempt to obstruct that effort. The DG and the concerned officials are falling victim to a conspiracy today because they did not protect the interests of the political syndicate like the fascist regime of the past.
Sources say that Chinese officials were holding regular meetings with the Bangladesh Railway Ministry at that time. The aim was to launch a bullet train with a speed of 300 km per hour. All the documents were ready, the feasibility study was over, and the design was nearing completion. All that was left was a valuable sign from the then Prime Minister Hasina. But right there, Hasina started receiving calls one after another from Delhi. The grandfathers were unhappy about the launch of a bullet train with a speed of 300 km in Bangladesh. Having burned the foreheads of the Bengalis, Hasina did not sign the file like a slave of India that day. Along with this, Bangladesh did not enter the era of bullet trains. The project file remained quietly in the railway building.
The way fascist Hasina has run the country during her past 16 years of rule has made it seem like Bangladesh is not a separate state but a province under Indian control. And Hasina is not the Prime Minister of Bangladesh but the Chief Minister of a province controlled by the Modi government.
After Hasina fled the country in the 24th mass uprising and took refuge in India, Nobel laureate economist Dr. Mohammad Yunus took charge of the interim government. Under the leadership of this mastermind, the country is moving forward at an indomitable pace. After taking charge, he took charge of all the stalled projects to move Bangladesh forward. In continuation of this, Chinese officials came to Dhaka, a meeting was held, and all preparations have been completed this time. Now it is time to move forward and show the world that we too have stepped on the bullet train into the 21st century.
If the Dhaka-Chittagong high-speed train is launched, it will have a huge impact on the country's economy. Dhaka businessmen will be able to go to Chittagong in a flash and return to the capital in the same day after finishing work. This will also increase the speed of work. Where it currently takes 6 hours to go to Chittagong, it will then take only 55 minutes. This bullet train will be able to transport 500 passengers at a time. If this high-speed rail service is launched, employment will also increase. Because 6 stations will be established under this project. These are Dhaka, Narayanganj, Comilla, Feni, Pahartali and Chittagong. Industrial areas will be developed around each station and foreign investment will come. In this way, millions of jobs will be created around this bullet train project. This time, there is no more fascist Hasina, but her people are definitely involved in various conspiracies. However, all Indian conspiracies will succumb to the master plan of the Ministry of Railways and Railway DG Md. Afzal Hossain.
Railway employees say that this is a planned failure. An attempt is being made to hand over the responsibility of repairing locomotives and bogies to private companies by showing the stores and workshops as ineffective. They believe that this is a continuation of the corrupt privatization project of the time of a recently fallen fascist government. The cronies of the fallen government are still present in the railways. They are creating various incidents to make the railways ineffective. Unpleasant incidents are happening every day.
