Vote for ‘Yes’ in referendum to reshape Bangladesh: Yunus

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Monday called upon people from all walks of life to participate in the referendum on the July National Charter during the upcoming national election.

“Cast your vote for ‘Yes’ to shape the country as per your aspirations. The key to building a new Bangladesh is now in your hands,” the chief adviser said while addressing the nation in his brief address this evening.

Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar broadcast the address at 6:30pm.

He said, “A ‘Yes’ vote will open the door to reshape the country. Cast your vote for ‘Yes’ and encourage others to do the same.”

Yunus also urged people to bring about change in the country and seize the opportunity to rebuild the nation.

The 13th parliamentary election and the referendum will be held on the same day, 12 February.
