A total of 91 bills were passed in the current session of the parliament

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the 13th National Parliament passed a historic 24 bills in a single day, bringing the total number of bills passed in the current session to 91.

Significant enactments included the "July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum Bill" and the "July Martyrs' Families and Warriors' Welfare Bill."

These legislations are part of a process to convert 133 interim ordinances into permanent laws based on special committee recommendations.

While major infrastructure and financial bills like the "Bank Resolution Bill" and development authority bills for several divisions were passed, the opposition (Jamaat-e-Islami) unsuccessfully moved a motion for public verification on the banking bill.

The session, presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, marks a rapid legislative push to institutionalize the reforms initiated by the interim administration.
