The previous government was negligent about the hammer vaccine: State Minister Tuku

State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salahuddin Tuku criticized the previous government on Monday, April 20, 2026, for its negligence in procuring and managing measles vaccines.

Speaking at the inauguration of a Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign in Tangail, the Minister credited Prime Minister Tariq Rahman's leadership for successfully making the vaccines available across the country.

He emphasized that children's health is a priority and urged everyone to remain vigilant. In Tangail alone, over 3.87 lakh children are expected to be vaccinated through 3,120 centers in a drive that will continue until May 10.
