Gazette on ‘Ninth Wage Board Award’ published

The government has published a gazette on the “Ninth Wage Board Award” for journalists and employees of newspapers and news agencies.

The gazette published by the Information Ministry on September 12 came into effect from the date of publication. 

On January 29 last, the government formed the 9th wage board, headed by Justice Md Nizamul Haque, a retired justice of the Supreme Court, to make recommendations about the salaries, allowances and other facilities of the journalists, employees and press workers after reviewing the 8th Wage Board Award.
