Democracy will start from the neighborhood: Bobby Hajjaj

In a bid to strengthen grassroots democracy, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj hosted an open "Town Hall Meeting" in the Mohammadpur area of Dhaka on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Addressing residents of Wards 31, 33, and 34, the Minister emphasized that true democracy is built through direct interaction between citizens and their representatives at the local level.

Fulfilling a pre-election pledge, he announced that these town hall sessions will now be held monthly in the Dhaka-13 constituency to address civic issues and improve administrative accountability.

Senior officials from the Dhaka North City Corporation and the Dhaka Metropolitan Police were also present to listen to public grievances and facilitate immediate coordination for the area's development.
