Instead of blaming others, one must learn to take responsibility: Minister of Roads and Bridges

During a cleanliness and mosquito control drive in Hazaribagh on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Minister for Road Transport, Bridges, Shipping, and Railways Sheikh Robiul Alam emphasized that disposing of waste in designated areas is more critical than the waste management process itself.

He stated that to leave a livable Dhaka for future generations, citizens must stop littering indiscriminately. Echoing this, DSCC Administrator Md. Abdus Salam proposed a "50-50 partnership" model, asserting that total success in urban cleanliness can only be achieved if citizens take 50% of the responsibility for their surroundings, such as clearing stagnant water in rooftop gardens to prevent dengue.

The Minister also urged political workers to embrace their accountability to the public and work toward building a people-friendly city.
