Two banks, one NBFI declare dividend


Two listed banks and a non-bank financial institution (NBFI) declared dividend last week.

BRAC Bank: The board of directors of BRAC Bank has recommended 15 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The final approval to the dividend will come at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the bank scheduled for April 30. The record date for entitlement of dividend is April 11.

 

The bank has also reported consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 5.17, consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk 32.87 and consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of Tk 9.77 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk 4.86, Tk 24.80 and Tk 19.93 respectively for the same period of the previous year, according to statistics available with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The bank's share closed at Tk 77.30 on Thursday, plunging 5.39 per cent over the previous week.

In 2017, the bank disbursed 25 per cent stock dividend.

Bank Asia: The board of directors of Bank Asia has recommended 5.0 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The AGM will be held on April 30 and the record date is April 15.

The bank has also reported consolidated EPS of Tk 2.01, consolidated NAV per share of Tk 20.88 and consolidated NOCFPS of Tk 3.15 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk 1.90, Tk 18.85 and negative Tk 2.20 respectively for the same period of the previous year, according to statistics available with the DSE.

The bank's share price fell 6.31 per cent last week to close at Tk 17.80 on Thursday.

In 2017, the bank disbursed 12.50 per cent stock dividend.

GSP Finance: The board of directors of GSP Finance Company has recommended 18 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The AGM will be held on May 05 in Dhaka. The record date is April 15.

The company has also reported consolidated EPS of Tk 2.40, consolidated NAV per share of Tk 22.84 and consolidated NOCFPS of Tk 0.57 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk 2.49, Tk 20.44 and negative Tk 5.90 respectively for December 31, 2017, according to statistics available with the DSE.

The company's share closed at Tk 20 on Thursday, gaining 1.01 per cent over the week before.

In 2017, the company disbursed 23.50 per cent stock dividend.
