Removal of uranium from Iran is a 'long and difficult' process: Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, that removing uranium from Iran would be a "long and difficult" process following the extensive destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump referenced last June's Operation 'Midnight Hammer,' where 125 U.S. military aircraft targeted the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan sites. He claimed the operation left the facilities in ruins, making extraction a complex task.

Trump also criticized mainstream media outlets like CNN for allegedly downplaying the achievements of U.S. pilots.

These remarks come just as Pakistan attempts to mediate a second round of talks, with Trump warning Tehran of "dire consequences" if a settlement is not reached.
