Dr Zafrullah’s wife, son test positive with Covid-19
Shirin Haque, wife of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury have tested positive with Covid-19.
Dr Zafrullah's son Barish was also tested positive with the virus and currently in home isolation.
Jahangir Alam Mintu, office chief of Jatiya Oikya Front confirmed the matter to media.
Shirin Haque went to Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at the capital's Dhanmondi area for health check-up this evening.
She will remain in home isolation according to the doctor's suggestions.
On May 25, Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury was tested positive for Covid-19 using the G-Rapid Dot Blot kit invented by his organisation.
His samples were later tested in the PCR lab of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) on May 28 for confirmation. The test results came positive.
